Eri is originally from Buzios, a small peninsula in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil, but he currently lives in St. Augustine, Florida with his wife Lisa. Over the past few years, Eri has proved he is the strongest paddler in the USA and making his way to the top in the world. Eri is a two time Brazilian National Champion in Technical and long distance racing, and his top global finishes include a 5th place finish in the 200 Meter Sprint at the 2023 ICF SUP World Championships in Pattaya, Thailand and a 5th place finish in the Long Distance Race at the 2022 ISA SUP World Championship in San Juan, Puerto Rico. When Eri is not traveling the world for races, he is in St. Augustine training, making creative social media content or teaching Stand Up Paddleboard lessons for those who want improve their skills and take their paddling the the next level. After moving to St. Augustine, Florida in 2012 to pursue a Doctorate in Physical Therapy, Lisa naturally picked up stand up paddleboarding as a means to get her “watersports fix”, as well as an affordable way to explore the beautiful waterways that NE Florida has to offer. As Lisa spent more time on the water, paddleboarding quickly progressed from a hobby to a passion and lifestyle. Lisa has traveled around the country and world stand up paddleboarding and SUP surfing. To date, Lisa’s greatest achievement was completing the Crossing for Cystic Fibrosis, an 80 mile paddle relay crossing from the Bahamas to Florida in 2019. In 2021, Lisa started SunSal SUP Co. as a way to share her passion for stand up paddleboarding, her love for the ocean and her knowledge and understanding of the human body to provide you with an incredible paddleboard experience. Her mission is to grow and connect the North Florida stand up paddleboard community and empower and equip more women/girls to feel more comfortable and confident on the water. Like Lisa, she began water skiing at age 4. From the mountains and rivers of Tennessee Ruth Ann attended Flagler College where she immediately fell in love with surfing. Back to the Tennessee river after graduation kayaking became Ruth Ann’s passion for several years, until a friend introduced her to stand up paddle boarding and she has never looked back. While in Tennessee Ruth Ann taught stand up paddle fit classes on the river, which she says is her favorite way to work out. A good, hard workout while on the beautiful water, what’s not to love?! Ruth Ann began SUP racing competitively in 2017, but has just really fully invested in it since 2022. She has won 1st place in a number of races and she absolutely loves it.
